Because our actual day photography package does not include any album and it would cost an additional $600 to have one, I decided to DIY. 
This idea came about at an IT fair last year (before our wedding day) when I chanced upon a booth demonstrating their photo book designing software. It seemed easy enough to use so I bought 3 coffee table book vouchers at the promotional price of 2, which averages to about $90 each. Excellent deal and couldn’t wait to start on it as I love to design. Moreover it is for my own wedding!
Took me about 2 weeks to complete the layout using a mix of photos from the professional photographer and our friends’ contributions. That’s another advantage of DIY where you can do it your way! Took 1 week to print and we have 2 beautiful hard cover coffee table books of 40 pages each containing our most precious wedding moments… ♥ Some things shouldn’t be left in digital forever.
